Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment announces another season of Concerts on the Dock this Fall. Every Friday from September 2 - October 21, regional musical acts will take the stage as part of this free concert series.

The official lineup for the upcoming season features Element XI (Sept. 2), Amythyst Kiah & Her Chest of Glass (Sept. 9), The Pressure Kids (Sept. 16), Inside Scoop (Sept. 23), Nick Dittmeier & the Sawdusters (Sept. 30), Campbell Station (Oct. 7), SolVibes (Oct. 14), Sailour (Oct. 21).

Concerts on the Dock has grown from a small gathering of music lovers to an exciting North Alabama staple promoting original music performance by regional artists.

“We work to bring in a mix of up-and-coming musicians to the dock each season,” said event coordinator Matt Bakula. “This series provides a performance space for musicians who might not have the opportunity to play elsewhere because they create their own original music and have their own original sound.”

This event is a family-friendly series that draws in hundreds of attendees every Friday night. Blankets, chairs, picnic baskets, and well-behaved pets line the Water Tower Lawn to enjoy an evening of free entertainment. With the Mill staying open until 8PM every Friday, attendees can venture between live music outside and a facility of working studios and events inside.

“It’s our pursuit to provide free modes of arts and entertainment,” said media director Sarah Cole. “Our crew and volunteers work extremely hard to host Concerts on the Dock every fall and spring. It’s one of several ways we work to engage our community.”

Although Concerts are free, the Mill does ask for a $2 suggested parking donation to help fund the bands.
