Press Trip Guidelines
Huntsville/Madison County CVB receives numerous media assistance requests each month. In order to best serve you, we ask that the following guidelines be followed when requesting press trips to Huntsville:
- Complete the Media Assistance Form located within the "Media Section" of the Huntsville/Madison County CVB Web site.
- We encourage media to contact Huntsville/Madison County CVB approximately two full weeks before traveling to Huntsville so that we may adequately prepare for a successful visit. Once credentials have been verified, we will begin coordinating the necessary arrangements with our area partners. If less than two weeks notice is given, we will attempt to assist the journalist in every way we can; however, Huntsville/Madison County CVB relies on our industry partners when conducting press trips, therefore we cannot guarantee all requests for assistance can be fully accommodated.
- Journalists should provide a letter of assignment on official letterhead from the media outlet they are representing at Huntsville Madison County CVB's request. If freelance journalists do not have a letter of assignment, they must provide three travel-related articles from the past two years.
- Huntsville/Madison County CVB asks for an original article or a copy of the original article, a VHS or DVD of all Huntsville/Madison County travel pieces that are produced.
Please note: Our primary purpose is to assist the working press, therefore, locations might not be able to accommodate spouses, children or guests of the journalist. If journalists need special consideration, please contact the us immediately to make the necessary arrangements.
