Huntsville International Airport Launches Free Fare Alert System

Huntsville, AL   January 31, 2005 - Huntsville International Airport launched a fare alert email program today called Huntsville Hot Ticket. Huntsville Hot Ticket is a web and email based system that will send a weekly e-mail to participants alerting them to the lowest fares available to top destinations from Huntsville International Airport. The email will also show the travel dates and air carriers that are offering the fare. Interested individuals must sign up to receive this free e-mail. You can register at www.HuntsvilleHotTicket.com.   The first 3000 people to sign up for the e-mail program will be eligible to receive a free leather passport case. The case will be mailed to the user at no charge.

"We are excited to present this new service to our customers," stated Nancy Green-Burg, Chairman of the board of directors, Huntsville International Airport. Green-Burg continued, "Fares from Huntsville are better than ever and we want to let people know the best ones out there and where to find them. We also want to reward our loyal Huntsville International users. The best way to do that is with our new Hot Ticket Rewards program."

During the first six months of the campaign, participants will be eligible to receive Hot Ticket Rewards. Just sign up to receive the weekly email and each day you log onto the website, your name will be entered into the monthly drawing for exciting prizes. Sponsors of Huntsville Hot Ticket Reward prizes are: American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Independence Air, Sheraton Four Points-Starwood Hotels, WAAY TV Channel 31, Municipal Ice Complex, Sci-Quest, Sunset Landing Golf Course, Princess Theater, Earlyworks Museum Complex, Huntsville/Madison County Convention& Visitors Bureau, Huntsville Stars, AMF Parkway Lanes, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, Parkway Place Mall, Outback Steakhouse, and Huntsville Botanical Gardens.

"The Huntsville Hot Ticket program is the first of its kind," stated Rick Tucker, executive director, Huntsville International Airport. Tucker continued, "No other airport has their own fare alert system that will let customers know the fares to top destinations each week. Also, it is easy to find the fare indicated because the email/website gives the airline and dates to travel in order to get the specific fare. You no longer have to hunt to find an advertised fare."

Huntsville Hot Ticket was funded by a grant that the airport received from the Small Community Air Service Development Program.
