New Orleans Lunchbox is Roland Lowrey’s first restaurant open to the public since 2009. The restaurant is located in Huntsville, Alabama at the corner of Jordan Lane and Holmes Avenue inside the Minit Man convenient store. Don’t let the location fool you, the restaurant can accommodate up to forty-four (44) dine in guests.
Our menu features slow cooked barbecue ribs, smoked brisket, barbecue chicken along with traditional cajun dishes like jambalaya, gumbo and red beans and rice line-up next to the po’boys that Roland’s Cajun Catering made famous over the last 12 years.

Wow! We found this place online, we reluctantly went inside. We were greeted by Mary who made our experience that much better! She made wonderful suggestions. She had us try her special bread! It's worth the drive. The gumbo, jambalaya and ref beans and rice had us all sniffing our runny noses. Nice flavor. The bread pudding was delicious. My husband doesn't eat soggy bread but the subtle flavors he loved. Mary suggested ribs to go for a late night snack....we fought each other for the last one. No fat just wonderful smoked flavor no need for sauce. So glad we found this place while visiting.
Came into town for house hunting & stopped here for lunch!! Great food! We had beef Poboys. Mine dressed. My husband not. Order of Red beans & Rice & Jambalaya on the sides. Jason was awesome & offered a sampling of items to try before we ordered. We tasted the Brisket (AMAZING)!!!! Ordered a bowl of Gumbo to go for the hotel later. It's spicy & really good! We will definitely be back!!! Thanks Jason for the hospitality & great food. Your new "Arizona" friends!!!!
