Shuttle Bus System (fixed system)
A Shuttle Bus System operates Operates Mon thru Fri from 6 AM to 6 PM on thirteen (13) routes covering more than 175 miles of city streets each hour of service. One of these routes is the Tourist Trolley Loop. There is a Downtown Route FREE on the weekends from 7 pm to 2 am. It targets city attractions and motels and restaurants. (Tourist Loop Brochure).
HANDI-RIDE for seniors and disabled citizens
Operates Mon thru Fri from 6 AM to 6 PM. This specialized, door-to-door, demand-response paratransit service is available for physically challenged residents. Medical certification as well as 24-hour advance reservation are required to schedule this service. The ten vehicles and the backup vans are radio dispatched and accessible for ADA compliance. The Pass is valid for all of 2011, and is available at the Huntsville/Madison County Visitor Center® open 7 days a week, Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m.
