Celebrate the Artemis I Launch in Huntsville, AL
Huntsville is ready to make history once again as NASA returns to the moon - a milestone in human achievement as Artemis I launches the first woman and first person of color to the lunar surface.
(Side note - wondering why Huntsville is nicknamed the Rocket City? Read more about that here). To put it simply, Huntsville's NASA Marshall Space Flight Center is playing a vital role in Artemis, developing the Space Launch System, the most powerful rocket to date and the backbone of NASA’s exploration plans.
Just as we danced in the streets during the Apollo era, there will be celebrations and activities happening in Huntsville as we countdown to launch day. Join us!
