Mark your calendars because Twickenham Fest returns to Huntsville for its 10th annual event, Aug. 20 – 25! Named Downtown Event of the Year in 2017, the free festival brings together a host of world class chamber musicians and opera singers from across the country for a series of unique and breath-taking concerts in the heart of Huntsville.

Twickenham Fest, packed with robust musical performances in some of Huntsville’s most iconic locations, is Huntsville-bred Susanna Phillips (soprano) and Matthew McDonald’s (bassoon) gift to their hometown. Whether you grew up listening to chamber music or not, Twickenham Fest has something for everyone to enjoy. Here are our top picks for you.

5. Support local talent in a new way

Huntsville’s music scene continues to grow and become an integral part of the city’s culture, but what many people don’t know is that two incredible chamber musicians grew up here in The Rocket City. Support local talent in a whole new way by being a part of Twickenham Fest. Childhood friends and Twickenham Fest founders Susanna and Matthew will both perform throughout the weekend, and for the love of music, you must hear them for yourselves.
