Right now, we’re all staying home and getting together virtually. For many of us that means hanging out on Zoom video conferencing with friends, family or colleagues for happy hours, birthdays or Saturday night dance parties. So, the next time you log on, say a good 'ole Southern "hello," "hey," "howdy," or a "how ya doin'" from Huntsville. Whether you want to be under a star-lit sky by the Saturn V rocket, above the Museum of Art, in the middle of Downtown Madison, you can call in from your favorite space in the Rocket City.

Here’s how to change your background on Zoom:

  1. Find your favorite Huntsville photo backgrounds below and save them to your computer or device. This will work on your computer and mobile Zoom app.
  2. Once you're logged into Zoom, open your account settings or click the up arrow next to “Start Video” in the lower left corner.
  3. Select “Choose a Virtual Background” then press the plus sign to upload the photo or video of your choice.
  4. Tip - make sure "mirroring" is turned off so text doesn't appear backwards!

If you run into issues using a backdrop, use a solid color blanket or sheet to make your own green screen. For further instructions on setting up your virtual background, please reference Zoom's official guidelines.

You’ll be ready to launch in no time!
