21st Annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival

The World’s Longest-Running Cigar Box Guitar Festival returns for its 21st year in Huntsville to raise money for music education. There will be kids activities, cigar box guitar jam sessions and meet-ups, local vendors and food trucks. Microwave Dave will use his musical genius to teach kids about the history of the blues in the interactive Junior Junk Jam where kids will get to play recycled instruments they’ve made. The Cigar Box Serenaders of New Orleans will round out the line-up with funk, soul and jazz all on 100% handmade, upcycled instruments including cigar box guitars, an upright bass made from a dresser drawer and a drum kit made from discards, including a plastic tub as a kick drum and trash can lid as a cymbal.
