As the very first spacecraft to observe Pluto up close and personal, NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft has traversed billions of miles to explore small, icy objects floating in space. It went on from Pluto to Arrokoth (formerly known as Ultima Thule), the most distant object ever explored, and is now traveling through the Kuiper Belt, headed for its third soon-to-be-announced destination.
