Walk in the footsteps of Huntsville's pioneering Black business and civic leaders during this FREE historic walking tour led by HHF Executive Director Donna Castellano. Visit buildings constructed by brickmason Daniel Brandon (some of which still stand!), the site of Alabama's FIRST Freedman's Bank, the site of The Journal, a newspaper published by Henry Binford, and the home where Alabama A&M founder William Hooper Councill lived while enslaved. The tour demonstrates all the ways that Huntsville leaders made American history.
