Based on the 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Harper Lee’s classic coming-of-age story is set against the backdrop of 1930s Alabama. The play explores themes of racial inequality, class, gender and family, told through the eyes of young Scout. Her father, Atticus Finch, an attorney, strives to prove the innocence of a black man unjustly accused of rape. With the guidance of her wise father the rebellious Scout discovers her own path, learning about the power of empathy and the struggle for justice.
