For the first (and likely only) time in 2025, a major league sports team is preparing to play a game in the Rocket City as Nashville SC travels down Interstate 65 to play Huntsville City Football Club in the Second Annual Space Cowboy match at Wicks Family Field.

Huntsville City Football Club serves as the Second Team for Nashville SC, so this is truly an intra-soccer family exhibition match. Slated for Wednesday, September 3rd at 7 pm, the second edition of the Space Cowboy match is much more than simply a soccer game.

Guests will be able to see some of their favorite NSC and HCFC players participate in a full 90-minute match, which means high-level soccer in the Rocket City. Beyond the pitch (soccer lingo for the “field”), though, guests attending the Space Cowboy match will experience other memorable moments, such as autograph and selfie opportunities with select Nashville SC team members and the first-ever meeting between Tempo (NSC’s mascot) and HCFC’s own Marshall the Cosmic Goat. Rumor has it that Marshall and Tempo might be competing in their own inaugural competition as part of Space Cowboy.

As always, guests will also experience the J2-X rocket engine kick-off, halftime Cigar Box Guitar riff, and games galore in the Yellowhammer Brewing craft beer garden. Add in some of the best seats, merchandise, and concessions in our soccer league, and it’s easy to see how the General Admission $10 tickets are an incredible opportunity to watch major league athletes play in North Alabama.

While all of the premium area tickets have already sold out, individual General Admission and Reserved Group General Admission seats remain on sale for what promises to be an evening of entertainment that everyone will remember.
