Rocket science isn’t all Huntsville imported from Germany!

One of the year’s most anticipated events is Oktoberfest, a German tradition with an Alabaman twist, which is hosted by Redstone Arsenal Family and MWR. Enjoy authentic German cuisine like schnitzel, bratwurst, and sauerkraut while sipping beer by the stein at the Redstone Activity Field in Huntsville, Alabama. Open to the public, the three-day fall festival features carnival rides, authentic German cuisine, a Festhalle Tent, imported beers, and viewing areas for SEC college football.

Campus No. 805, one of Huntsville's most unique venues, also hosts a special Oktoberfest event with lots of craft beer from Yellowhammer and Straight to Ale breweries.

In the back countries of Germany, people let loose the way we all do: with friends, food, music, and dancing. Anyone wanting to have good, old-fashioned community fun absolutely has to make it out for Huntsville’s unique Oktoberfest experience.
