Arts Huntsville says farewell to U.S. Army Materiel Command Band at band’s final Concerts in the Park performance

 

Huntsville, AL – This Monday, June 25th, Arts Huntsville and Huntsville Department of Parks and Recreation will feature the U.S. Army Materiel Command Band for a special Armed Forces Week Concerts in the Park event. This will be the USAMC Band’s second-to-last performance, before their farewell concert at Bob Jones High School the following night.

 

“Arts Huntsville has considered it an honor to showcase the musical talent among the ranks of our armed forces at our events over the years,” said Allison Dillon-Jauken, Arts Huntsville executive director. “We are saddened by the news that they will be disbanding, but invite everyone to join us at Concerts in the Park to wish them farewell and send them off with the tremendous support of our community.”

 

The concert will begin at 6:30pm in the Von Braun Center South Hall and conclude at 8:30pm with support from Gold sponsors Brockwell Technologies, Huntsville International Airport, and IronMountain Solutions. There will also be bottled water available provided by Crystal Mountain and AUSA.
