Galaxy of Lights contender for USA TODAY’s 10Best Botanical Holiday Light Show list
Huntsville area encouraged to vote now, vote often
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (November 4, 2024) – After being ranked this year as the #6 Best Botanical Garden in the U.S. by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Huntsville Botanical Garden (HBG) is once again nominated for another prestigious travel award. HBG’s Galaxy of Lights is a contender for the 10Best Botanical Holiday Light Show list. Galaxy of Lights was voted the #2 best Botanical Holiday Light Show in 2023.
Winners for USA Today’s 10Best Travel Awards are chosen by popular vote. Voting for the Best Botanical Light Show Award began today and will continue through Monday, December 2, at 11:59 a.m. EST. The public is encouraged to vote today and each day leading up to December 2 to help HBG secure the top spot in 2024.
“We are thrilled that visitors, members, volunteers and supporters from our community voted for Galaxy of Lights in such numbers last year that we landed at #2 in a list with extremely strong competitors.,” said HBG Chief Executive Officer Sue Wagner. “We are truly grateful for their support.”
Galaxy of Lights was nominated with 19 other light shows at Gardens and Arboreta by a panel of relevant experts, including a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com , and expert contributors.
“With fresh features to experience this year, such as walking through the Mystical Forest, sipping hot cocoa in a 30-foot tall light castle, and climbing into larger-than-life snow globes for a one-of-a-kind selfie, we know this year is going to be the best Galaxy of Lights yet,” said Wagner.
