Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest exhibit on display at Huntsville Visitor Center

Exhibit runs March 19 – April 9

(Huntsville, AL) – Winning photos of the 2021 Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest are touring for a special exhibit this spring, landing in Huntsville March 19 through April 9 at the Huntsville/Madison County Visitor Center®. Winners of the contest, which ran from August to October in 2020, were recently announced with several Huntsville-area photographers placing in various categories.

The Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest is hosted in partnership by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (ADCNR) and the Alabama Tourism Department as an effort to highlight the state’s natural resources and outdoor recreational offerings.

Categories for the contest include subjects like birds, nature-based recreation, wildlife, and more, as well as special categories for young photographers and “Sweet Home Alabama,” showcasing unique natural and manmade landmarks throughout the state. All of the year’s winning photos can be viewed here, and more information about the contest can be found at outdooralabama.com.

The Visitor Center is located at 500 Church Street NW in downtown Huntsville and is open seven days a week, Monday-Saturday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, and Sunday from noon to 3:00 pm.
