MoonDreams in Concert

(Huntsville, AL) – IMPHuntsville and Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the U. S. Space and Rocket Center, are kicking off the 50th Anniversary week of the moon landing with MoonDreams in Concert. From Sputnik to Apollo 11, MoonDreams highlights North Alabama's rocket legacy in a Broadway-style musical. This fictional peek at Huntsville during the space race tells the story of a young man who dreamed about the moon and how he achieved his dream.
IMPHuntsville will provide the vocal talent and orchestrations while the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra provides the accompaniment with their outstanding musicians.
MoonDreams was written and composed by Everette Parrish who lived and worked in Huntsville at the time it originally premiered in 2000.
