Hear me out on this: there’s nothing better than a cocktail following a tough day at the office (or, let’s be honest with ourselves: any day at the office.)

Happy hour is one of the greatest deals out there in the Huntsville restaurant scene: from reduced prices on great drinks to shortened menus of must-try foods you’ve seen on at dinner time but haven’t ordered before. Whether you sit at the bar or if the happy hour extends to the entire restaurant, you have the perfect ingredients for some mid-workweek relaxation.

We’re rounding up the best Huntsville happy hour specials across the Rocket City for you to check out this week.

Rhythm on Monroe

With daily specials, and a happy hour, Rhythm on Monroe is one of Huntsville's newest rooftop bars. They host their "jam session" every Sunday through Thursday from 4 pm - 6 pm. Take in the rooftop and enjoy some White Lightning Nachos with shredded chicken and Alabama white sauce. Of course, you can't go wrong ordering dessert first too, if you grab a drink. The chocolate chess pie or citrus cheesecake are two of the best desserts in the city.

Humphrey’s

Craft beer from local breweries? Select shots, wines, cocktails, at a discount? Check, check, check! Humphrey’s Bar and Grill, a mainstay in downtown Huntsville and a favorite for locals young and old, delivers with its version of happy hour. Deals range from wings to margaritas and burgers, pending the day of the week. You’re sure to find something to enjoy no matter when you visit.

Cork & Crust

I pretty much never tire of pizza. Wine with my pizza is a fantastic bonus. Madison’s Cork & Crust Pizzeria + Wine Bar is a great choice for both! Join them for happy hour, especially on Thursdays when bottles of wine are half-off. Sign me up!

Blaque Cigar Lounge

If you’re looking for ambiance and an ultra-cool vibe, look no further than Blaque Cigar Lounge. Enjoy great music and delicious drinks such as the Blaque Margarita (taco Tuesday, with style!) while you peruse their cigar selection. It’s really a win-win.

Stellas Elixir Lounge

Rocket City Pride hosts a monthly happy hour at this rooftop bar that includes trivia, prizes, and fun. On the first Thursday of every month, you can find $7 mules, $5 wine, and $3 beer.  While they don't offer food, Melt, Moe's BBQ. The Standard, or the downtown Huntsville square is close by to grab some things to nosh on after the event.

Char

I’m obsessed with the food at Char Restaurant, and at this spot, you get bites and bar options: the perfect combo.

Choose from prime rib gravy fries (yum) and their impressive pork rinds (you really don’t understand how good they are) from a limited happy hour menu, and pair with a variety of drafts, wine, and craft cocktails. I’ll meet you there.

Kona Grill

Fancy a sake or sangria? Try both at the Kona Grill happy hour—complete with a variety of sushi rolls! What’s great is you can order from their happy hour menu throughout the whole restaurant. They actually have two happy hour shifts—so you can have a happy hour experience later into the evening.

Ruth’s Chris

Ruth’s Chris Steak House has a certain reputation (namely, a deliciously expensive one.) But their happy hour pricing at the restaurant’s bar or outdoor terrace seating gets you access to their fantastic options at special rates. Try the spicy shrimp (my go-to) and pair it with a hand-crafted cocktail such as the Smoky Paloma! The best part is, you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to check it out.

Brass Tap

Know your beer? Then you’ll recognize right away that happy hour at The Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar is a good one. Their selections are top-notch and the bar food is a win! Great spot to watch a big game, grab some good food from cheese curds to burgers on their happy hour food menu, and take advantage of impressive drink specials for any taste either inside or on the patio. Beer lovers, rejoice!

Get Happy

Forget about the deadlines! After-work cocktails and dinner at a discount is the best self-care to treat yourself after a long day.

I know you’ll find anything you’re looking for on your tour of the best Huntsville happy hours. Get happy, and experience the happy hour deals you deserve!
