Looking for a place to eat out that the kids will love – and the adults will, too? Something a little "out of the routine" and very Huntsville-y? Here are five options for dining with kids that are fun AND tasty! Keep reading to find some bonus additions from local Huntsville moms!

Supper Heroes

Supper Heroes could get its name purely from how they'll heroically serve up a supper (or lunch) of burgers, salads, sandwiches and more that are delicious and appeal to all ages. But it's more likely that the name refers to the superhero decor – if a comic book shop exploded in a burger joint, it might be less awesomely super-saturated than Supper Heroes is. And not only do they have kids meals, each one includes a Little Debbie. Talk about knowing your audience!

Toybox Bistro

If you come to a place that calls itself the Rocket City, you can't be surprised if you end up somewhere that's a little bit nerdy. Or, you know, a whole lot nerdy. Toybox Bistro is another local restaurant that combines amazing cuisine with unforgettable decor. The menu offers burgers, sandwiches, half-pound hot dogs, and entrees, along with awesome appetizers like waffled mac and cheese and wicked fried pickles. The walls and tables are decked out with everything from classic (and more modern) toys to Pokemon cards. Toybox will tell you their burgers are the best in town, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Rolo's

Looking for a traditional southern meal at a place kids will love? Then you should choo-choo choose Rolo's! Rolo's offers a good old-fashioned country menu any southern grandmother could be proud of, and the railroad-themed decor includes a model train set suspended from the ceiling. There's not a dedicated kids menu, but there are a few items designed for kids on the regular menu, and, more important, at prices like this the whole family can eat affordably. For bonus points with the little ones, go for breakfast, when the offerings include things like the "Steam Engine Special" or the "Conductor Special."

Sam & Greg's

Why Sam & Greg's? One, it's pizza. Odds are, kids will like pizza. But it's also, like, really good pizza. So you'll like it, too, and everyone's happy! Two, gelato. If you haven't had gelato, it's basically Italian ice cream, which means it's the perfect ice cream to go with your pizza. The flavors range from classic to things you've never imagined could be a dessert before.

Three, if you go to the Downtown Huntsville location, you're just a very short walk from Big Spring Park; it's not just dinner, it can be an outing!

Angel's Island Coffee

You can come for food – Angel's Island offers a collection of sandwiches and salads, complete with a kids menu. Or if you're just looking for a coffee shop, Angel's Island is the best in town for bringing kids. You can't go wrong with their selection of hot drinks, and the little ones will love their Breeze ice cream drinks. Order one off the menu, like a Funky Monkey chocolate banana drink, or ask to see the current list of flavors and get creative! Want to make your visit a little more fun? Ask to borrow one of their board games.
