Huntsville is home to award-winning botanical gardens with over 118 acres to explore this spring. Now home to a world-renowned sculpture artist, Thomas Dambo’s creation, Mama Zelda. A towering 20-foot-tall wooden sculpture made from wood and repurposed materials, with a winding path.
Butterfly house within the gardens allows you to stroll among these colorful creatures and appreciate their beauty up close.

Strawberry picking is a spring tradition, and You Pick fields make it more fun.
Brown Family Farms is our largest you-pick in the Huntsville area.
Established in 1950, this farm typically opens in April in Huntsville and has a few weeks of picking season.
Bright red berries among acres of green, and in the early season, you will see the iconic white strawberry flowers still waiting to become strawberries.
You pick, pre-picked, and even a pre-picked drive-thru available to eat local Alabama strawberries.

Beauty in public ART
Huntsville is no stranger to public art and murals. Downtown even has a public art trail you can use to explore all that downtown has to offer, from murals of planets and space (we are the Rocket City) to Tigers and sculptures.
Coming soon to downtown Huntsville is a colorful art installation named Umbrella Alley. It will feature upside-down umbrellas of many colors to bring some light to all areas of downtown.
