Huntsville has emerged as one of the growing sports destinations in the Southeast, bringing a wide array of national events that have seen record-setting success.  Here’s why events are wanting to come to The Rocket City…

Central Location

less than two hours from Nashville and Birmingham, Huntsville provides a very accessible location in the Southeast.  Within six hours drive of the Rocket City is Indianapolis, New Orleans, Louisville, Atlanta, Memphis, Mobile, and Pensacola.

Great Venues

Huntsville has invested in its sports venues.  The investment into John Hunt Park has created a world-class cross-country course, 15 beach volleyball courts, two championship-caliber soccer fields, two sheets of ice at Wilcoxson Ice Complex, and the soon-to-open renovated Joe Davis Stadium.  There’s also the Von Braun Center in Downtown Huntsville with the 7,000-seat Propst Arena and 100,000-square-foot South Hall.

Big City Amenities

As the largest city in the state of Alabama, Huntsville has the characteristics that you would expect for a big city.  An array of full-service hotels, top-notch local restaurants, a growing local brewery scene, and great entertainment venues.

Small Town Hospitality

When you come to Huntsville, you will be welcomed with open arms! Our city knows how to provide a first-class experience and our team here focuses on making every event a memorable experience for everyone that attends.

Outside-The-Box Thinking

Our team works with event producers to make sure their goals are met and is open to new ideas for events – whether that’s a different use for a venue, marketing to the community, or building premium seating options.  We will create a solution that works best for your event to maximize its potential.
