Dancing is one of my favorite date nights with the hubby and what a better time with Hispanic Heritage month ending soon than to highlight the best places in Huntsville to learn a few steps of salsa, bachata or even cumbia. OK Corral

OK Corral Latin Dancing

First on the list is OK Corral. OK Corral is located off Memorial Parkway and has been open for over 13 years. This is the nightclub for authentic Mexican music. Expect the top 20 and 40 most popular songs to be played. Cowboy boots are a must when entering. You’ll be greeted by friendly staff at the entrance, top quality care, and the best entertainment. Music varies throughout the night from cumbia, corridos, and rancheras, all part of the Mexican genres. 

Concerts are also part of the night life here at OK Corral. Hear and enjoy international artists and bands from the Mexican music industry and indulge in their talents. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.okcorralticketsonline.com or pay at the door. Reservations for VIP tables can be made via telephone at the moment, but will soon be offered online as well.

Hops n Guac

Hops and Quac Latin Dancing

Everyone knows Hops N Guac for their food and self-serve tap wall of beer, cider, and wine. Did you know Hops N Guac is now offering Latin night dancing events in the evenings? You heard that right. Hops n Guac has become a premier place to enjoy Latin music at night.

The dance floor opens mainly on Friday and Saturdays, starting at 10pm and ending at 2am. Local Djs and bands are invited to light up the scene for guests to enjoy a little taste of the Latin genres. Most events do include a fee, while others are free of charge. Follow them on Instagram to stay up to date with upcoming events.

Baila Huntsville

Balia Latin Dancing

Owned and operated by Gabriella Gonzalez, Baila Huntsville began 11 years ago as a side job while working  as an engineer. The side job she created for the love of dancing, eventually turned into a full time job 5 years ago. Baila Huntsville offers salsa and bachata lessons. Classes are taught progressively in monthly cycles, beginning with level 1. Bachata lessons are offered on Tuesdays, while salsa lessons on Wednesday.

Classes are 90 minutes long, beginning at 7:15 p.m.  Private lessons can be scheduled in the afternoon or evenings.Ready to implement what you’ve learned in class? Join a salsa and wine social! Salsa and wine socials are offered every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. If you can’t make it during the week, join them on a Saturday. Saturday socials are every 1st of the month. These events begin with a beginners class first, then you implement. Classes too easy? Join the dance team. Here, you’ll learn choreographies, perform at local and regional events. Salsa at Stellas

Experience Latin night dancing with festive cocktails and an escalated lounge at Stella’s. Join Baila Huntsville and Dj Rafi at Stella’s for a night of salsa. Show off your dance moves in this upbeat atmosphere. This is a free event for everyone to enjoy. Salsa at Stella’s is a free class with an open dance floor from 8:45-midnight. Last on the list is the Electric Belle at Stovehouse. Electric Belle has begun offering free salsa and bachata classes once a month. The event usually starts at 6:30pm -10pm. These are beginner level lessons, followed by social dancing. Make sure to follow Stovehouse on their social media accounts to stay up to date when the next Latin night will happen.
