The center features a gymnasium, an indoor pool, two outdoor basketball courts, one instructional kitchen, classrooms and meeting rooms. This center offers aerobics classes, health seminars, an after-school program, a Spring Break program, a Summer Camp and a Spring Basketball League along with other planned and ongoing programs. Computers are available for public use in the Library along with the basic computer classes which are offered.

- Description: The Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Pool is the City’s newest public facility. This facility offers a wide variety of American Red Cross swimming and educational classes including Lifeguard Training. The pool features 2 one meter Durafirm diving boards and is accessible by hydraulic chair lift. The pool water is a comfortable 84-85 degrees. Dr. Richard Showers, Sr. Pool is completely enclosed and has a climate control system for the year round comfort of the swimmer.
