The Native Plants Teaching Garden is a public space that highlights how Alabama plants, soil, pollinators, and birds create distinct communities, together forming a diverse, sustainable, and attractive landscape. An interactive digital map allows learners to navigate their way through the garden and identify the plants they see.

- Closed: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve at 2:00 PM, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve at 2:00 PM and New Year's Day
