Travel & Tourism Economic Impact 

Travel and tourism significantly boost the Huntsville/Madison County economy, and we are proud supporters of the local hospitality industry, which enhances the quality of life for both residents and visitors.

According to the latest report from the Alabama Tourism Department, travel and tourism-related expenditures in Huntsville/Madison County slightly exceeded 2023 record levels in 2024. In 2024, Madison County welcomed nearly 4 million visitors, representing roughly $2.4 billion in economic impact. Additionally, each household in Madison County saved over $1,300 in taxes due to travel expenditures, and the industry supports over 23,000 jobs in the area.
