The Orion Amphitheater is opening in May, and its neighbor in the MidCity DistrictThe Camp, is "amped" up! They are hosting the first Camp to Amp Festival on Saturday, May 14th, to celebrate the opening weekend for the Orion Amphitheater. 

This free festival will be home to 3 stages, 20 performances, and more than 50 local vendors and nonprofit organizations from across Madison County and beyond. There will be activities for kids and kids at heart, art, mural, and more. Some of Huntsville's arts organizations will be on hand: Fantasy Playhouse⁠, Dance Theatre of Huntsville⁠, Rocket City Chorus⁠, Maitland Conservatory⁠, Opera Huntsville⁠, Merrimack Hall⁠, Rocket City Brass⁠, and Baila Huntsville.⁠

There will be live performances from several local bands and artists, including Pond Diver⁠, Them Damn Dogs⁠, Carver Commodore⁠, Hugh Lindsey⁠, Furniture⁠, Alex Banks⁠, Jordan "#ChillCity" Moore⁠, DJ Siza Hanz⁠, Lana White⁠, B Smoove⁠, Ben Luthy⁠, and Black Market Haggis. 

Tickets are still available for the First Waltz weekend at The Orion. Still, there will be plenty to enjoy throughout the District before the monumental gates open to Alabama's newest music destination! Mark your calendars now for a significant weekend in Huntsville's history.
