New Huntsville Restaurants and Bars
The Chop House
Address: 160 Graphics Drive, Madison, AL 35758
This small steakhouse chain just launched its first Alabama location in Madison and is open daily for lunch and dinner. In addition to steaks and chops, the menu at The Chop House features seafood and chicken dishes, and a few unexpected bites like spicy Voodoo Tacos, Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes, and Deviled Eggs topped with thick, candied bacon.
Viva Tequila Mexican Cocina

New in Madison, Viva Tequila has a vast menu of sizzling plates and platters. Keep it simple with a street taco trio or crispy flautas, or dine from the sea with spicy camarones diabla and a seafood tower of octopus, shrimp, and scallops. Birria fans will appreciate the dedicated menu section of birria ramen, pizza quesabirria, and barria Philly cheese. With "tequila" in the name, you can, of course, expect a full slate of margarita flavors, including a blackberry marg and sangria-rita.
Beignets & Brew
Address: 1015 North Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35801
Known for their French doughnuts, Beignets & Brew just opened a second Huntsville location in August. The beignets come in a few different flavors, with dipping sauces like Nutella, buttercream, honey, and blueberry. The new location also offers specialty and frozen coffee drinks, as well as smoothies.
Rocket City Bar & Grill, Rocket City Express, and Everbowl

The taste of Huntsville starts as soon as you touch down at the airport, with three new dining concepts that opened in June. Rocket City Bar & Grill is a full-service restaurant with Southern-inspired dishes and cocktails. Rocket City Express offers grab-and-go bites and made-to-order coffee. And Everbowl dishes up refreshing acai bowls and smoothies. All three options are in the gated area, perfect for a snack after landing or before a flight.
7Brew
Address: 6486 Hwy 431 S, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763
Drive through coffee brand 7Brew just opened a new Huntsville-area location in July. The new franchise is in Owens Cross Roads and serves the seven original flavors the brand is known for — Blondie, Sweet & Salty, Cinnamon Roll, Brunette, Banana Bread, Smooth 7, and Cookie Butter — along with fizzy sodas, lemonades, shakes, and more.
Melt
Address: 461 John Henry Way Ste 810, Madison, AL 35757
Melt opened its new location in Clift Farm in Madison in early May. The restaurant is known for its classic grilled cheese and cheesy sandwiches and burgers, but don't overlook the fresh salads and appetizer menu as well. This new location has a breezy patio in addition to indoor seating.
Etta's Tavern and Good Company Cafe at Five Points

Popular South Huntsville eatery Good Company Cafe just opened a second location on the site of the former 1892 East Restaurant building in Five Points. Along with this new location, the company is launching a new dinner restaurant called Etta's Tavern.
JAC's Barbecue
Address: 2211 Seminole Drive SW, Huntsville, AL 35805 (Lowe Mill studio 1029)
With roots as a catering service, this barbecue spot by culinary artist James Cutts just opened at Lowe Mill in June. Jac's Barbecue specializes in flavorful turkey dishes paired with sides like baked beans, mac and cheese, and collard greens.
Grimaldi's Clift Farm

The newest Grimaldi's location in North Alabama opened in Clift Farm in May. The pizza chain that originated in Brooklyn serves New York-style pies and has a Huntsville location on Carl T. Jones Drive.
La Parrilla
Address: 461 John Henry Way Ste 1080, Madison, AL 35757
This Mexican restaurant with locations across Alabama, South Carolina, and Georgia opened in Clift Farm in Madison in May. Standouts from the menu at La Parrilla include a Cubano bowl with shredded brisket and plantains, pinto bean soup with chorizo, birria quesadillas, and tacos de tinga.
Barracuda Taco Stand

Barracuda Taco Stand opened near the Lumberyard in Huntsville in March. The walk-up style restaurant and open-air garden serves tacos on fresh tortillas, queso and chips, bowls, margaritas, and more. The small chain also has locations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and St. Louis, Missouri. The taco stand has a weekday happy hour with deals on margaritas and nachos!
Perseus Sound Bar
Address: 6024 Stax St NW, Huntsville, AL 35806
Perseus Sound Bar is bringing the vinyl bar concept to the MidCity District. The new bar opened in May on the ground floor of Anthem House and blends mid-century modern style with Mediterranean-inspired coffee, cocktails and tapas.
Restaurants Coming Soon to Huntsville
Dough Dough Pizza Co.
Address: 222 Holmes Ave. N.E., Huntsville, AL 35801
Slated to open in September, Dough Dough Pizza Co. is a new downtown Huntsville eatery filling the space left behind by recently closed Razzo Pizzeria. The restaurant will be run by the Mercado Group, who also own Local Cafe, Del-Chuco, and Standard Social Market.
Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe
Address: 365 Bridge Street Suite 101, Huntsville, AL 35806
Specializing in handmade crêpes and specialty coffee, Sweet Paris is bringing it's French-style cafe chain to Bridge Street. The location is expected to open in late 2026.
North Italia
Address: 401 The Bridge Street NW, Huntsville, AL 35806
A new Italian concept will open at Bridge Street Town Centre this fall. North Italia in Huntsville will be the second Alabama location for the chain, which offers a full menu of pizza, pasta, and other Mediterranean specialties.
Elysium
Address: 220 Holmes Ave. N.E., Huntsville, AL 35801
This new Greek-themed cocktail lounge and eatery is expected to open in downtown Huntsville soon. The venue also plans to host interactive experiences like cocktail crafting classes.
Perry's Steakhouse & Grille
Address: MidCity District
Perry's Steakhouse & Grille plans to open it's second Alabama in the MidCity District in summer, 2027. The restaurant design will feature a wine wall, an open kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating, and a few private dining rooms.
Dolce Amore
Address: 20 Town Center Dr NW Suite 2101, Huntsville, AL 35806
Birmingham chef Randall Baldwin is bringing a new Italian concept to the Village of Providence this year. The menu is expected to focus on elevated but approachable cuisine.
Storia Deli
Address: 7900 Bailey Cove Road, Huntsville, AL 35802
Expected to open in 2026, Storia Deli is a gourmet deli, Italian market and cafe that will serve sandwiches, salads, pizzas and bakery items.
Floriana
Address: MidCity District, Huntsville
The Italian restaurant Floriana is expected to open its third location in Huntsville's MidCity District in 2026. Known for its scratch-made ravioli, gnocchi, and lasagna, the family-owned Floriana currently has eateries in Wilmington, North Carolina, and Washington D.C.
Juniper's Kitchen

Opening in Stadium Commons in 2026, Juniper's Kitchen focuses on fresh and seasonal ingredients for an American menu.
Waldo's Chicken & Beer
Address: 2100 Cecil Ashburn Dr SE, Huntsville, AL 35802
Coming soon to Jones Valley, Waldo's Chicken & Beer specializes in scratch-made, Southern-style chicken. Fried and rotisserie varieties are served up in sandwiches and baskets with classic Southern sides like collard greens and cheesy mac.
The Adios Bar

Birmingham's Adios Bar is opening a location in Huntsville at the Lumberyard this summer. The bar serves classic cocktails with Mexican-grown spirits.
